鉴于感恩节是一个受人珍视的节日，几个世纪以来人们一直庆祝这一节日，感谢上帝所赐予的诸多恩赐；

WHEREAS, since President George Washington proclaimed it a national day of thanksgiving in 1789, Americans have observed Thanksgiving, recognizing “the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly implore His protection and favor;” and

WHEREAS, seventy-four years later, during the Civil War, President Lincoln reminded the nation to be mindful of its many blessings and to not forget “the source from which they come,” that they are “the gracious gifts of the Most High God,” who ought to be thanked “with one heart and one voice by the whole American People;” and

鉴于Commonwealth of Virginia拥有充满活力的家庭、社区、学校、礼拜场所、丰富的多样性和热情好客的精神；

WHEREAS, Virginians are grateful for their civil and constitutional rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from government interference; and

鉴于，我们感谢公共安全和军事人员的奉献精神，他们保护和服务人民，常常牺牲与家人相处的时间来确保我们的安全；

WHEREAS, Thanksgiving is a time for heartfelt reflection and gratitude, spent with family, friends, and loved ones, preserving traditions and creating new memories; and

鉴于，为了遵循我们长期以来的传统，我们鼓励弗吉尼亚人感谢造物主给予我们的丰厚祝福、我们所享有的机会以及我们的家庭和社区的持久力量；

因此，我，格伦·杨金，现将27年2025日定为弗吉尼亚联邦的感恩节，并呼吁全体公民注意纪念这一节日。
